	The MK1-BRATON is the starting rifle for the Tenno. A versatile weapon with no clear strengths or weaknesses.
–In-Game Description

The MK1-Braton is the starting rifle in Warframe. It has a lower firing rate and lower damage output compared to the Braton. The MK-1 Braton is an all-rounder weapon that is usable in any situation; its high accuracy and stable rate of fire make the weapon incredibly easy to use. Nevertheless, other weapons are more specialized and can be paired with a secondary to be used in situations where the primary is useless.

Can be sold for File:Creditsicon.png 2500.

Characteristics

Advantages

• Good all around rifle for the early part of the game.
• Highest accuracy and magazine size of the three Bratons.

Disadvantages

• Lower damage and fire rate compared to Braton.

Acquisition

This is the rifle new players begin the game with. Can be purchased for File:Creditsicon.png 15,000.

Tips

• Sell the weapon after acquiring around File:Creditsicon.png15,000. Braton or Strun are much more useful for missions after Mercury.
• In case you have a high damage pistol, you could use this gun for crowd control purposes only. The larger clipsize and slower fire rate complement this tactic. Just equip Cryo Rounds and shoot enemies every time the slow effect ends.
